CLIMATE CHANGE ADAPTATION IN AFRICA
Africa, despite its minimal contribution to global climate change, bears the brunt of its devastating impacts. The continent faces severe consequences, including desertification, flooding, erosion, and landslides, leading to the destruction of farmlands, crops, and infrastructure. This results in declining agricultural productivity, loss of livelihoods, and a surge in hunger and poverty. To combat these challenges, concerted efforts are necessary to support Africa’s adaptation to climate change. Through its Climate Change Adaptation in Africa program, Labour, Health and Human Rights Development Centre is dedicated to addressing these issues and promoting resilience and sustainability across the continent.
